Ok, I decided.
I feel like this series deserves a review now because the final installment is coming out Sept. 18, 2012. So, you have less than a month to get your act together, take my advice and read this series before that date.
The name of the book is Existence. Its the first book in Abbi Glines' Existence Trilogy.
I'm going to try and give this review without giving away anything, so bear with me.
This is the first book.
This book is by Abbi Glines and I can most definitely tell you, her name will be mentioned in this blog alot.
There's something about these characters that really sucked me in. The whole thing is a little cliche. He's Death, her name is Pagan...dark, much? But if you can get past the 'sixth sense' feel of this book, I think you'd really enjoy it.
Dank came to Pagan because he was coming to take her soul, however, he ends falling in love with her, so he saves her from himself (death). It unleashes a whole lot of issues because it was her time to go and he over rode that decision. Lots of drama unfolds and it sets up really well for the second book, Predestined.
I loved Dank in this book. For me, his character really carried the entire book. He's not too bad for a guy who sucks souls for living.
This is a YA book, so if you're looked for detailed, romance (wink, wink), this book doesn't have it. Regardless, the storyline and characters are so good that you really don't miss it. Trust me, peeps.
