Screaming in the Silence

Recently, I swapped reading lists with my friend, Ashley. Not surprising, but I had rest most of the books on her list. However, I was able to snag a couple of books that I hadn't heard of . The Breathing Series was one of them and this was another.

Clearly, I read alot. Very rarely do I find books that I don't like, but there are times when the books I read run together and nothing really stands out. This book stands out. Its different and I found myself appalled that I was pulling for the bad guy that had kidnapped and (kind of) raped her. I say 'kind of' loosely because it was (kind of) consensual too...read the book...you'll get it.

I have to say though, I was really turned off by the author at the end. The book ends good, but I feel like as authors, they have a responsibility to their readers to give them good endings and not leave them wanting more (unless its a series). This book had to be re-written because the author cut off the book as such a bad place, her publishing company made her go back and write an epilogue.

If you are out of books to read, I would recommend this one. Its good and definitely worth the read, but there are better ones out there. Just the truth.
