Take this Regret

I've got to tell you, I'm loving A.L. Jackson. She writes some tough books, with great conflict, but gosh, does this book make you pull for the underdog.

Motivated law students, Christian and Elizabeth, have been dating for a few years. With only a year left in college, they are motivated to finish and go about their schooling and careers. Christian is driven by his rich father, Elizabeth is a do-gooder, who just wants to make the world a better place.

But their plans are changed when Elizabeth discovers she's pregnant. When Christian gives her an ultimatum, she walks away from him and her dreams.

Six years later, Christian still lives with the guilt of that ultimatum. A chance meeting, fate steps in. Can he fix whats broken or is it too late?

I hope I haven't made this sound lame because its not. Its so good. So real. My heart broke for Christian because of the decision he made and the raw regret he has. At the same time, I put myself in Elizabeth's shoes. Could you really forgive someone that walked away from you in the time of your greatest need?

When people ask me now what books they should read, Pulled and Take this Regret are my top recommendations now. The writing is so different and real. I absolutely loved it.
