Beautiful Disaster is the story of Abby Abernathy. She's a college girl trying getaway from a wild upbringing. She sees college as a new start, but she meets Travis who is everything she wants and is trying to get away from. Oh Travis. He really is the bad boy we want, but would never be able to tame.
I've read this book 3 times. Yes, I'm aware of I have issues, but this book is that good. Its got the bad boy/good girl charm and you pull for the both of them to make it work. I have 3 negatives (that aren't really negatives) with this book.
1. He calls her Pigeon. At first, its like uh, ok, but then you love it. I honestly forgot Abby's name by chapter 3. I wanted my husband to start calling me Pidge after reading this book, but I decided that I should stick with the nickname, Gisele Bundchen, since we're identical.
2. I wanted to beat Pidge/Abby. Seriously, hottest guy on campus is totally in love with you and you won't give in. Eat a donut, get over yourself, and go get laid.
*Sidenote. This is why I shouldn't write a book. I'm way too cynical for my own good.
3. He sings a Rolling Stones' song in the school cafeteria and you will have "I can't get no satisfaction" stuck in your the rest of the day. You're welcome.
Jamie McGuire has written a companion book named Walking Disaster to be released on 4/13/12. Its Travis' POV of Beautiful Disaster. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Same book, different POV...couldn't she just write a sequel? I won't judge until I read it in April. Until then, read this book. Its great and definitely one of my favorites. Universal Pictures has bought the rights to make this a movie, so you need to get ahead of the game and be prepared.

I feel the same way about the Walking Disaster book. I was hoping for a sequel rather that the same ol book. I'm still going to read it nonetheless
